If Jesus is the Messiah then we need to understand what he accomplished as the Messiah in his first coming. According to Islam he delivered the book called Injeel/Evangel. So he was not the Jewish Messiah, but he was yet another Jewish prophet. Jewish Messiah has a different job description.
