The Christian Perspective

Assuming what you say is true, that you are not a Christian, and that God has not in fact directly confronted you about the error of your ways, it may be because you are already aware of the error of your ways.

The problem humanity is faced with, according to the Bible, is not a lack of knowledge -- we already know what we need to know. Rather, the problem humanity is faced with is our desire to sin, and God has resolved this problem for those of us whom He has chosen through the person and work of Jesus.

Romans 1:18-20 informs us that "the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse."

It is very clear from scripture that no one has any excuse to reject or disobey our Creator. We know the truth but we suppress it in unrighteousness, preferring sin over holiness. Scripture further teaches us (Romans 3:23) that even though none of us have an excuse for disobedience, all of us disobey.

But God has provided a way for those who wish to be free of the condemnation of sin. That way is Jesus (John 14:6). According to scripture, "if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)

God bless you as you repent.
