The Atheist Perspective
A state of the world in which no one dies or suffers any egregious harm and everyone is reasonable, honest, and compassionate, and more often than not contented. The only known way to achieve this state of the world is through human social and technological progress. We are very unlikely ever to enjoy it. But our descendants millions of years hence might. And what we do now will determine how soon, how likely, and how many in future will enjoy it.
